Original unit was defetive but mfg replaced and...
Lift performs as advertised. Can be operated by a 12 year old child. First unit delivered did not work first time used but Pride stood behind their product and replaced entire unit, re-installed without cost or questions. Problems can occur with any mechanical unit, I respect the manufacturer's effort to correct the situation and stand behind their product as soon as they realized there was a problem.
Original unit delivered was defective and did not function properly. Battery Pack was probably main cause.

Used to transport a wheelchair or scooter for a person not able to have mobility because of knee problems.
first unit had to be replaced because it did not function
Second unit received and installed works as advertised, Makes loading and unloading of scooter easy. Pride did not hesitate to replace defective unit.
Initial unit did not perform. There were problems with power pack and the mechanism hung up when trying to operate.

It does the job
It looks to be well built. I like the lift design better than Harmar. I don't worry about any web strap wearing out or coming loose. I also like the restraining strap arangement better. There is no possibility of forgetting to remove one of the straps or having one snag the chair and twist the lifting mechinism.
I would not say it is a weakness, however, I wonder how long the pump for the cylinder will last. Also, when lifting the chair the life makes a creeking noise like the metal or welds may be stressing. Also, when the platform completes it's cycle in lifting the chair, it does not always activate the horizontal traversing mechanism. If I wiggle the platform a little it will activate. It does not have that problem when the platform is empty. How does the microswitch need adjusting? Can I do it? If not, who in my area can?

My dad is 89, a WW2 vet, and has practically lost all use of his legs. He's enjoying his new found mobility.
It floats right into the van....throw in the dogs and you...
We had it installed which meant all we had to do was pay for it ....definitely worthwhile.

I am 58 and need mobile help if I plan to do anything. The hard part was to find an affordable way to transport the item that wouldn't hurt my husband
