We didn't need the additional footplates and headrest, but they were easily removable.

Sturdy, smooth and comes with a safety belt. Has options to choose to buy more straps. In my case, I needed a strap for my right leg which helps stabilize my leg. Also, comes with snap-on cover for the seat which is very helpful if you have to use a lift.
