Single Fold Ramp: Review

Use it daily; couldn't do without it. Perfect for me. Age 85. Multiple problems
perfect for what I needed
It is VERY sturdy. The 3' length of the ramp easily gets me up the approx. 8" step to my condo's pool area (yes, they will be making an accessible entry, but not until January). The suitcase handle makes it easy enough for me to lift up to my power wheelchair's footrest so I can haul it across the street to the pool's location. The pins keep it closed during transport so it doesn't end up all over the place, and the textured surface gives me great traction for getting up to the pool's deck area. The outside lips keep me going straight. It is 3' and sturdy, so it has some weight to - not for real weaklings, but most of my friends can lift it OK. The ribbing on the back side of it must be part of what makes it so sturdy - it is a solid piece of mobility assistance for any power wheelchair user. If I ever need another ramp for something, I will be shopping with the Pride folding line first!
It should not be used in an area with a barricade near the lower end of the ramp, to allow plenty of space to turn your wheelchair without hitting the barricade. The pins that hold it closed have spring-loaded bearings for making use of the holding pins easier, except they tend to destruct a lot sooner than the ramp does (a small thing because the pins still hold, just not as well as with the bearings in, and the pin-attaching circles are of perhaps a softer-than-ideal metal. (ALL small stuff!)

it does the job
strong and sturdy (it will last nearly forever!) - I have it installed at the 2" rise to my laundry, screwed into the tile floor at the top for use with my power wheelchair. If I miss with steering, the side lips are good at keeping me on track.
It is a very short ramp (too awkward for use to get up a 6-8" step), without a handle it was more difficult for me to transport and use by myself (limited portability for me) from my power wheelchair (I got myself the 3' with the suitcase handle for that high step and it is a better solution for that use)
