Scooter Weight Capacity

All scooters are rated for a maximum weight capacity. Overloading a scooter is not only unsafe, but it can put unwanted strain on the scooter motor and its parts, voiding the warranty and service contracts. SpinLife lists every model's weight capacity on the product page. Check the Details and Specs tab for this information.

To find the weight capacity for your scooter, consider your own weight plus the weight of anything you'll want to tote or purchase along the way. Ignoring the weight capacity not only affects your ability to ride safely, it affects scooter performance.

If you think you are close to, or meet, the weight capacity of a scooter we strongly recommend you select a scooter with a higher capacity.

Type of Scooter Maximum Weight Capacity (in pounds)
Travel 3-wheel: Up to 300 lbs.
4-wheel: Up to 325 lbs.
Full-Size Varies, depending on model, up to 400 lbs.
Heavy Duty Varies, depending on model, up to 500 lbs.
All-terrain Varies, depending on model, up to 500 lbs.

SpinLife Knows: Even though some travel scooters indicate they have 300 - 350 lbs. weight capacities, their smaller seats can be uncomfortable and unstable for users who weigh 250 lbs. or more.
