I am 81 years young, with a few disabilities. I also had trouble getting in the middle of the bed. I have slept on the edge for awhile and fell.
Wonderful product!
The product is very well designed and it feels very secure and steady when being used. It was also quite easy for me to assemble, and I'm 72 years old. It easily adjusted to fit behind a rather high headboard (56").
No weaknesses noted after several weeks of use - can't imagine there are any.

I bought this for my wife who had a brain hemorrhage and is hemiplegic.
It has helped a lot with changing my clothes, as I am not...
The ease of getting a hold of it and security while using it.
It would be nice if it were designed it such a way that it could go in the center of the bed, I have a hospital type and there is a mechanism on the bottom of the head board that is used to raise and lower the bed. That not really an issue but that's about the only flaw I can think of.
