4.0 / 5
Strengths:

Standing up straight when walking is the main strength of this product. It has good stability, and it gives you a secure feeling. You can carry things from room to room on the ample seat which is a big plus. The quality is excellent; It will obviously last a good, long time. It is beneficial for developing muscle strength in the areas of the body used for normal walking. These areas are not used as much by disabled people.

Weaknesses:

The advantage to "hunching" over a standard walker is that you can easily transfer the majority of your weight onto the device. This is not so easy to do on the UpWalker without raising the shoulders, which the directions say not to do. It is not easy to maneuver in small spaces, and this will be a great disadvantage to people who have pronounced weakness.

I'm disabled, and I use a lot of assistive devices including leg braces, walkers, scooters, canes, grab bars, and a wheelchair.
