This is a replacement for the bench I had for many years.

5.0 / 5
Strengths:

Easy to assemble. Seems strong. I like that I have the choice of using the side arm and back or not. My shower is small, so don't use either.

Weaknesses:

None noted. Found it to be as described.

Mother loves her hot showers!

4.3 / 5
Strengths:

The slide bench is very sturdy and the seat has lots of room with a secure back rest, so mother does not feel like she would fall off. The seat and back surface are also non-slip even when she's soaped up. The suction cups on the legs that sit in the tub do hold the bench in place without fear of slipping. In fact, it's so good be sure of placement of the chair before use, it's a bit of a wrangle to unstick and move. Mother doesn't like baths and she never felt clean enough with sponge baths, she loves that this bench allows her to take hot showers again.

Weaknesses:

As the seat itself does not slide and because of the non-slip surface we were wise to install a sturdy hand rail on the shower wall between shower head and faucet within easy reach, as once mother has her legs in the tub she must raise herself up a little to shift over in the seat. If the bather is unable to do this I would not recommend this type of bench, one with a slideable seat would be better. Also we live in a hard water area, so we dry the whole bench down after every shower as the surfaces start getting a grey scale biuld up quickly.
