Because it is made mostly of plastic it is very lightweight
The leg rails stick out too far from the chair when they are not being used.

The wheelchair is for my father who had a major stroke and is paralyzed on his right side and can no longer walk.
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS CHAIR
BEING ABLE TO CHANGE WHEELS FOR DIFF. ACCASSIONS THE STURDY STRUCTURE,SIMPLISSITY OF AD-JUSTMENTS
NEEDS A TOOL TO LOOSEN BRAKE ASSEMBLE OR A DUEL BRAKE SYSTEM FOR LARGE AND SMALL WHEELS [I MADE A SMALL HANDLE OUT OF A 6" X 3/8" STAINLESS STEEL PIPE, CLOSED ONE END TO FIT OVER THE BRAKE LOCK SO I COULD RELEASE IT.

It was possible for me to go sight-seeing with my family...
It was very adequate for the price. If I were confined to a wheelchair full time I would buy one of the more expensive and more durable models.

In 1998 I fractured and dislocated the lis francs joint in my left foot.
servicable chair at a resonable price
flexibility in configurations (e.g., arms can be lifted for transition to/from chair. Legs could be relaced with an upgraded product easily.
The chair is stiff when it comes to collapsing & opening. The quality is okay, don't know how long it will really last.
