Very satisfied with the Pride Go Chair.

4.0 / 5
Strengths:

Easy to maneuver in small spaces.

Weaknesses:

The seat is too high for short people (5 feet or less in height. It has two adjustments, but even using the lower one, my feet do not touch the foot rest.

Great indoor performance in our 1,000 sq. ft. apt.

3.5 / 5
Strengths:

GoChair performs well in tight spaces & standard (30") doorways.

Weaknesses:

GoChair has limited outdoor use & shorter mileage between charges than a standard power chair. If used outdoors for extended periods of time - carry an extra battery pack.

Yes, especially to go somewhere.

4.0 / 5
Strengths:

It breaks down easily to put in the car and allows me independance of movement in a store.

Weaknesses:

It does not do well with a gravel driveway and I have trouble transferring to the commode because of the footrest; I am short and I cannot drop my feet close to the chair when transferring because of the footrest.

Perfect for traveling.

4.3 / 5
Strengths:

It comes apart and so can be put into any car trunk or back of SUV. Easy to transport on planes.

Weaknesses:

Limited range. Must recharge more often than my full size chair. Seat is not as comfortable as my full size chair. Seatback position does not adjust. Although it does come apart, it is still too heavy for me to disassemble and reassemble alone, or lift into the care. If you have a companion or caregiver who can help you, no problem.

Go-Chair: Review

4.5 / 5
Strengths:

(1) LIGHTWEIGHT. Airline personnel could not believe how easy it was to disassemble the Go-Chair, and how light the parts were. They had never seen an electric wheelchair that was so easy for everyone to move around. And this includes Heathrow Airport, the busiest airport in the world. (2) SOLID TIRES. While producing a somewhat rougher ride and missing out on some traction, the Go-Chair's tires were extremely durable for outside use (and in Europe, I was as far from my home as I had ever been). Given the product's size and maneuverability, I can't imagine how often the tires would have been punctured had they been inflatable. (3) INTUITIVE CONTROLS. Since the chair arrived two days before my trip, the need for it to run easily and without complication was obviously essential, and the Go-Chair clearly met the criteria. (4) LOW COST. For those who have been involved in purchasing mobility products, you can appreciate that the price of this product was dramatically less than anything I have used before. All in all, the Go-Chair gave me an unprecedented opportunity to share in my family's vacation, including getting in the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Needle in London.

Weaknesses:

The major challenge in terms of how I used the product, would be the relatively short battery life per each charge. I was used to a traditional scooter battery set up, and usually had to park as much as possible as well as frequently needing to be pushed back to the hotel after spending an afternoon and evening out. Being more familiar with the product at this point, I would have ordered an extra battery in order to have a second charged battery pack which would have resolved this issue. Another challenge was not to unnecessarily push the stability capabilities of the Go-Chair. not all places and all countries have ramps and other apparatus as gently sloped as the ADA requirements in the states.
