When the Whill Ci made its debut, it delivered a completely new approach to power mobility blurring the line between a scooter and a power wheelchair. Innovation and technology came together to offer super easy handling-with a palm guided joystick, there is no tiller or steering column in front. The new and updated Ci2 features an all-in-one controller that includes steering and speed adjustment. The new controller can be mounted on either the left or right.
What Makes This Different
The WHILL Ci2 offers amazing outdoor performance. Two powerful motors, driven by the latest Lithium-ion battery technology allow the incredible grip of the WHILL’s patented front omni-wheels to power up inclines up to 10 degrees, and easily climb over obstacles up to 2” high. The updated front omni-wheels now have fewer rollers creating less vibration and a smoother roll. 4-wheel independent suspension smooths out the bumps of everyday driving. Anti-sway and anti-tip features create greater stability as you drive, adding safety and promoting confidence.
Why We Like It
The small footprint and tight turning radius make the Ci2 perfect for indoors use as well. The Model Ci2’s precise steering, and the absence of a bulky tiller make it really user-friendly in small spaces. The under-seat storage bin lets you conveniently carry along all your necessities. The electromagnetic brakes stop smoothly.
Updates have been made to the armrests, seat and back. The armrests rotate up and out of the way for easy transfers on and off the Model Ci2. The armrests now flip back further giving you more room for transfers as well adjust for height to enhance comfort and positioning. The seat is now available in widths of 16”, 18” and 20”. The 18" and 20" seat widths have been added to compliment the increased weight capacity of 300 lbs. The 16" seat width has a weight capacity of 250 lbs. The backrest is now angle adjustable as well as height adjustable.
You will want to take your WHILL Ci2 everywhere when you see how easily the Ci2 comes apart into three lightweight pieces for transport in any vehicle. The WHILL Ci2 is also great for air travel. The Lithium-ion battery meets FAA standards.
The latest in connectivity technology is engineered into each WHILL Ci2. Control and manage your speed settings, lock and unlock your WHILL Ci, and access the advanced diagnostics system using the WHILL Ci2 iPhone and Android app.
IntelliCare program included is a program that allows technical and GPS data to transmit directly to WHILL and SpinLife tech services through the WHILL Ci2 app, aiding in real-time trouble shooting and service diagnostics.
What You Need To Know When Ordering
The Whill Ci2 will arrive in 3 separate boxes; the front base, rear base and batteries and then the seat and basket. You will need to assemble the seat onto the base much as you would if taken apart for transport.

Seat
Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration. Hanger Angle3 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width4 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Front Seat to Floor5 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare. |
