Overview of the Protekt Ultra Cushion
The Protekt Ultra Cushion is a multi-layer foam cushion with both ultra-high density and soft gel-infused foams to support the user and provide comfort. The soft top layer is a gel-infused Visco foam that allows for an ideal level of immersion into the surface of the cushion for comfort and stability. The lower layer consists of a contoured, ultra-high density foam. It offers medial and lateral side supports to help with positioning and trochanter cutouts for optimum pressure redistribution. An inner gel bladder helps to reduce pressure and reinforce pelvic support. The Ultra has a nylon stretch cover that is both breathable and low-shear to protect the skin. A safety buckle helps to keep the cushion in place while the user moves.
What Makes This Different
The high density foam provides a firm base as well as permitting your pelvis to sink in for stability and comfort. A dual chamber bladder prevents the gel from spreading so the gel bladder remains under you helping to keep you comfortable and not raising your body temperature. Proactive Medical’s Visco top helps reduce the risk of pressure sores by moving heat away from the body quicker than most standard foam cushions.
