Overview

Golden Tech’s Compass HD provides durability and maneuverability at an affordable price. With strength in mind, this power chair is built with a 450 pound weight capacity and a powerful battery to take you up to 12 miles on a full charge. You can choose from four different frame color options, height, angle and length adjustable footrests, adjustable Captain’s seat and many power chair accessories to ensure this chair has everything you want and need. The Compass HD is a perfect choice for users needing a little extra strength while still maintaining style and comfort.

What Makes This Different
The Compass HD is available with different seating options to ensure that every user is comfortable and secure. Choose the standard Captain’s, optional ProFlex or optional Van/Pan Seat, for a seating style that fits their needs without compromising comfort. The standard Captain's seat features a high back and headrest, the ProFlex seat features an adjustable angle back and push handles. Both the ProFlex and Van/Pan seat do not have seat or back cushions so that the user can have custom support, with seat and back cushions made just for their needs.

Why We Like It
The Compass HD is made for a heavier user but doesn't sacrifice style and function. It has a 20" turning radius, thanks to the center-wheel drive wheels, making it very useful in smaller spaces.

What You Need to Know When Ordering
The Golden Tech Compass HD comes standard with a one-year in-home service contract. This service contract pays for a technician to come to your home in the event of an issue and he will assess and later repair your chair, free of charge. For added peace of mind, consider upgrading to the two- or three-year service plan. Also, the Compass HD is delivered via a freight company by a Curbside delivery service. The freight company will call and schedule a delivery time and bring the box to your home, but they will not bring it into your home. And, if you have any stairs leading to your door, they will leave the box at the base of the stairs. If you need additional service, consider the White Glove delivery option. This service will deliver your chair to a trained agent in your area and your chair will be unpacked and inspected for damage. The agent will then call to schedule a delivery time and bring the chair to you, in your home. Though our White Glove Delivery option includes the set-up of your power chair, comfort adjustments, like foot rest height, will need to be done by the caregiver or user.

Measuring Guide

Seat Depth¹
Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.

Back Height²
Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration.

Hanger Angle³
Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.

Seat Width⁴
Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.

Front Seat to Floor⁵
Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare.

Warranty Information

If you have a problem with your power wheelchair, simply call one of our Power Wheelchair Technicians for assistance. If you have a valid SpinLife In-Home Service Contract, they will arrange for a Technician to diagnose/repair your power wheelchair. Every effort will be made to return your mobility equipment to working condition in the shortest time possible.

GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES CONSUMER LIMITED WARRANTY | POWER WHEELCHAIRS

Golden Technologies has provided information throughout the owner’s manual in regards to proper usage and care of your power wheelchair. Failure to adhere to this information will void the warranty of the power wheelchair, it’s parts and the batteries supplied by Golden Technologies.

The following warranty is granted only to the INITIAL Consumer who has purchased our product and commences on the Date of Purchase by the Consumer from an Authorized Golden Technologies’ Provider.

The warranty covers the following power wheelchair models unless otherwise noted:

FIVE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:

For the period of five years from the date of purchase, in the event of defective materials or workmanship, Golden Technologies will repair or replace at our option any of the following structural frame components found to be defective by an authorized Golden Technologies representative:

Note: An increase in operating noise of the motor/gearbox DOES NOT constitute a defect. With normal wear and tear, operating noise is expected to increase.

For the period of thirteen months from the date of purchase, in the event of defective materials or workmanship, Golden Technologies will repair or replace at our option any of the following electronic assemblies found to be defective by an authorized Golden Technologies representative:

Note: While charging batteries, it is normal for the battery charger to heat up. Heat coming from the battery charger DOES NOT constitute a defect.

TWELVE MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY

For the period of twelve months from the date of purchase, in the event of defective materials or workmanship, Golden Technologies will replace the batteries supplied by Golden Technologies if found to be defective by an authorized Golden Technologies representative.

Items not mentioned or listed are covered at the discretion of Golden Technologies. Any accessories, standard or optional, supplied by Golden Technologies, are covered for a period of one year from the date of purchase with the particular unit.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Golden Technologies does not provide warranty on any of the following items which may require replacement due to the normal wear and tear of day to day usage:

Tires and Tubes

ABS Plastic Shrouds

Armrest Pads

Motor Brushes

Bulbs/Fuses

Battery Cases

Brake Pads

Upholstery

This warranty also excludes the following:

Loss or theft of components

Damage caused by:

Battery fluid spillage or leakage.

Abuse, misuse, accident or negligence.

Improper operation, maintenance or storage.

Commercial use or use other than normal.

Repairs and/or modifications made to any part without the specific consent of

Golden Technologies.

Exceeding the specified weight capacity of the unit.

Accessories other than those supplied or approved by Golden Technologies.

Failure to adhere to the product instructions.

Acts of Nature, such as lightning strikes, earthquakes, etc….

Circumstances beyond the control of Golden Technologies.

ANY PARTS ALTERED OR REPAIRED BY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON.

WARRANTY SERVICE:

Warranty Service must be performed by an authorized Golden Technologies representative. Golden Technologies reserves the right to replace warranted part(s) with refurbished or new part(s) at our discretion. All labor charges, service calls, transportation costs or any other charge(s) associated with the installation of any warranted part(s) are the responsibility of the consumer. Warranty is for the replacement of the parts only and does not include freight for the replacement parts. Consumers are not to return any item(s) to Golden Technologies without prior written authorization.

Any damages incurred while warranted part(s) are in transport are the sole responsibility of the consumer.

There is no other express warranty.

Implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are excluded. Liabilities for consequential damages are excluded.

This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.

Return Policy

The following conditions apply:
- This item has a 20% Restocking Fee.
- You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. The product must new and unused and in the original packaging.
- All accessories and items that were included in the box must be returned.
- Items canceled after the product has already shipped will be considered a return.
- Delivery and service fees are not refundable.
- Mattresses ordered with beds are non-returnable.
- Custom-made by the manufacturer to suit your specific needs are non-returnable.
- An RA (Return Authorization) from SpinLife must be requested within 30 days of delivery.
- The item must be shipped back to the address noted on the RA within 15 days.
- Once approved, your refund, minus any restocking and freight fees, will be issued to your original form of payment.
