1. Light Weight 2. Hands Brakes 3. Size when folded
Really haven't found any weakness, but something that might be added to make the chair better is a bag attached to the back of the seat.

My mother - age 87 - has trouble walking for an extended period of time
I bought this chair for my mother who has alzheimers. We...
The chair fits through doorways, is easy to fold up in the car, and the hand brakes make it easy to lock. Also, the footrests swing around easy and can be taken off easy.
I think ankle straps would help keep the persons feet on the foot rests.

this makes trips to the mall so much easier.
It is light weight and easy to fold and unfold and put in the car. It wheels easily and the larger rear wheels give it greater stability.
It could use a cup holder. I use bags of my own to loop on the handle bars to carry things in, but it would be nice to get one that fit perfectly. I am thinking of making one of my own design to use on this chair.

Mother can go outside to her patio and birdwatch, and...
This model as stated is light wieght and easily manuvered by caretaker, it's amazed the whole family how much better it is than the standard house chair (big rear wheels solid unacommodating tires.) When she is done with physical therapy will be able to move and steer this chair with her legs. Both mother (user) and Father (driver) love the chair so much they are using it as well in the house to move her around and access many areas that a standard chair has not been able to access. She loves the color, she said "just because you need something to help you get around, doesn't mean it has to be ugly or lack color, this chair I love...you kids did good for your mom!"
First and foremost make sure that the chair fits the USER. Spinlife.com has very helpful info. on how to figure this out, Mother just made it for fit. More than one size in this wondrful model would serve very many we feel. After mother's stroke, her legs are stronger than her arms. She has told us that this chair is the one she'll use to get herself around until her right arm decides to catch up (this woman hates to wait). She feels that a set of controlling hand breaks on the arms as well as on the caregivers end would be wonderful. Her goal is to go outside when she wants to, but must traverse a wheelchair ramp to do so, she wants to have the ability not to have to trust her legs or the tread on her shoes to stop or slow her. She said even the ability to move existing brakes down to armrests would work too. Next is the finish, she's already noted some scratches and knicks on the finish, just as adament as she was with her cars' finish. Finally, as much as they like the chair, they are willing to accommodate this flaw. Make the arms of the chair accessable to dining tables standard. She feels one should not have to pay extra in order to get closer to her meals.

Chair is used for my handicapped son. The chair has really improved our quality of life and made thing so much easierfor me and my son.
lightweight and easy to maneuver
I was looking for a lightweight wheel chair, that I can easily fold and lift up to my trunk, because of my weak hands and can not lift heavy things because of osteophorosses in my lower spine, and my elderly mother can push my father easy around the house as well. this is perfect for transporting my father. Thank you.
We wish it has brakes in the bottom like the regular wheelchairs, I always need some one to hold the hand brakes when trying to sit my dad on the chair because the wheel chair roles back wards.
