The footplates on this chair are covered with rubber. As a result, my feet never slip off the footplate. I wear leather-sole shoes, so that was often a problem.

I am 78 and take the foot rests off to sit on and then move it with my feet as I cannot walk or stand long

The instructions for assembling the foot rests are not at all clear. The design of the foot rests cuts every corner in the book. Why not use the spring loaded pin and hole like the headrest? One foot rest became jammed on first time assembly and is no longer adjustable.

quality in materials used

the chair sits very straight. we took the top 2 screws out of the back part of chair and folded down the material and that made it more comfortable.
