The Protekt Aire 7000 lateral rotation and low air loss mattress system by Proactive Medical is an effective yet economic system that provides exceptional therapy and relief of multiple health issues. The quiet but powerful single pump circulates an impressive 52 liters of air per minute and controls both rotation therapy and low air loss relief. Air flows directly underneath the user keeping them cool and dry for the prevention of moisture build-up and protection from skin breakdown.

The control panel features state-of-the-art technology that constantly monitors mattress pressure. The control panel with LED display is user-friendly and has programmed settings for 10, 20, 30, and 60 minute cycles as well as adjustments for pressure level, rotation angles, and mode. The low air loss function can be utilized in two ways; it can be used for rotational therapy as well as static therapy depending on the user's needs. Low air loss therapy is continuous throughout the entirety of each of the rotational cycles, and rotational angles reach up to 40° ± 5° if a 'full' turn option is desired. There is also the option to turn the low air loss therapy off entirely.

The Protekt Aire 7000 features side bolsters with constant air pressure for user security during rotation, but the side air bolsters can also be deflated if easier access to the user is desired. To prevent the control panel from being tampered with there is a lockout button that will also lock the power switch. In the event of a power outage, the pump can hold air for days, keeping the user safe and making transportation of the user possible. If a power outage does occur, there is an audiovisual alarm that signals low mattress pressure. 

The top cover of the mattress features three zippered layers. The top layer is made of highly breathable urethane coated nylon that is low shear and low friction to protect from skin breakdown. The low air loss middle layer is a spacer fabric, and the bottom layer is fluid-proof.
