my husband has been in a wheelchair for 23 years and says this is the most comfortable cushion he has used.
My mother loved it.
The ability to breathe and it's comfort.
The material the cover is made out of should be easy to clean and air out.

Haven't had any pressure sores in 30 years.
The gel part of the cushion.
Don't last long enough to suit me. And, the cushion is rather pricey.

Paraplegic for 30 years due to a motorcycle accident. I've used Jay Active cushions for at least 20 years and have great success with them.

Rigid like Jay2 but light like Jay Extreme
rigid bottom to cushion light Deep gel pouch Extreme covers fit it!!
covers aren't good for the price. The gel leaks after about 3 to 5 years (typically 3)

I've owned a couple Jay2s, Jay Extreme and now Jay Active. I have to say that I like this one the best. It's a cross between the Jay2 & Extreme.

When something works for over 30 years why use anything...
The gel is comfortable enough to prevent pressure sores. But not too comfortable to keep you seated in one place. Lightweight to move around. Durable. With considerate handling I've only had one gel burst open, it was quite well used.
Poor quality of cushion covers. Covers are not finished off on the edges and come apart at the seams after just a few washings. Replacement covers are expensive and not worth the price. I don't like having to sew up defective seams after paying the high price for the cover. Foam inserts are outrageously expensive. I complained about poor quality of cushion covers and received a new one from the factory several years ago but the problem has not been resolved with subsequent covers. Does anyone read these comments?

Hybrid foam/gel..reduces the overall weight. Gel section is located in the needed sweet spot. Velcro keeps the cushion in place. Averaging 16 hour days with intermittent decompression without any problems. Caution: Your mileage may vary.
Non as of yet.
