Overview of the Genesis 400 Electric

The Genesis Electric Patient Lift from Bestcare Lifts is a reliable and durable lift at a great price.  Its compact design is ideal for transfers to wheelchairs and commodes.

What Makes This Different
What is key about the Genesis is its extremely low base.  As a caregiver, you want to get as close to the patient during the lift process as possible,  A low 4.5" base height and rubber coated base makes getting under furniture a breeze.

Why We Like It
If needed, the extended reach can pick patient up from the floor. This lift also features tool-free assembly and disassembly - great for storage and transport, and has a beep warning for low battery and when the weight capacity is approached.

What You Need to Know Before Ordering
Minimal assembly is required.  Before using the Genesis Electric Patient Lift you must charge the batteries for 10 hours.

Works perfect for transferring
Reviewer: j. from coquille, or (caregiver)

End User Desc: Brother-in-law has progressive MS and he is paralyzed from the waist down and partially paralyzed from the waist up.

Strengths: Ease of use, stability during transfer, rolls easily, much more safe then using a manual lift

Weaknesses: Have not found one yet

Reviewer: c. from bothell, wa (caregiver)

End User Desc: My brother has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair mostly. He can transfer with a walker and assistance, but at times needs more help than my streng

Strengths: I got the Genesis 400 Electric Power Lift. It was delivered in a few days. It was easy to assemble, but needed an extra pair of hands. It is fairly compact for this sort of lift and rolls easily on carpet. Having a 5" clearance, it rolls easily under bed during use and for ease of storing out of the way. Will lift patient off the floor, eliminating need to call 911 for help.

Weaknesses: Haven't found one.

The slings are not very comfortable
Reviewer: c. from windsor, mo (caregiver)

End User Desc: The arm is not long enough. I added a foot to it and it is still not long enough. There is no need for the arm to be bent.

Strengths: It does lift the weight

Weaknesses: Sling's not very good and arm is too short

Doesn't push close enough to recliner's seat. Takes two of us to operate
Reviewer: d. from santa monica, ca (caregiver)

End User Desc: 116 pound 85 years old, a stroke left him without the ability to talk. Recently, he has not been able to walk.

Strengths: Appears to have good construction. I am hoping the electrical mechanism has a long life.

Weaknesses: For us, it takes two to get my husband in the bed or in the recliner. It would be nice to move him alone. One time he almost fell out of the sling. I don't know what we did wrong; but now it causes concern whenever we move him.
