Overview of the Genesis 400 Electric

The Genesis Electric Patient Lift from Bestcare Lifts is a reliable and durable lift at a great price.  Its compact design is ideal for transfers to wheelchairs and commodes.

What Makes This Different
What is key about the Genesis is its extremely low base.  As a caregiver, you want to get as close to the patient during the lift process as possible,  A low 4.5" base height and rubber coated base makes getting under furniture a breeze.

Why We Like It
If needed, the extended reach can pick patient up from the floor. This lift also features tool-free assembly and disassembly - great for storage and transport, and has a beep warning for low battery and when the weight capacity is approached.

What You Need to Know Before Ordering
Minimal assembly is required.  Before using the Genesis Electric Patient Lift you must charge the batteries for 10 hours.

Easy to use
Reviewer: O. from Saugus, MA

End User Desc: Mom, 82, dementia, not walking anymore. Dad, 85, bad walking mobility, has occasional falls

Strengths: The electric lift is definetly the way to go much easier on the caregiver.

Weaknesses: Not easy to push on carpet, we had to put down a laminate hard wood. Our aide needed help to push on carpet.

Does everything we need it to do and transfers smoothly and effortlessly.
Reviewer: D. from New York, NY (caregiver)

End User Desc: I take care of a 64yr old patient with Multiple-sclerosis and she is a total care patient.

Strengths: Strength is that it is light weight and is able to hold a larger weight capacity! Easy to maneuver and the brakes is an added bonus. We never had the brakes on our older Hoyer so this was really good.

Weaknesses: None

Needs better design for carpet use.
Reviewer: I. from Naples, FL (caregiver)

End User Desc: 69 year old female who is unable to be mobile without the lift. It transfers her from her bed to her chair to her wheelchair.

Strengths: Ease of use. Does not require a large space for storage. Works as expected.

Weaknesses: Very hard to move about on carpet. Maybe larger wheels would help.

The lift was easy to assemble and use.
Reviewer: S. from Longville, MN

End User Desc: I am 59 years old. I am fiscal and active.

Strengths: The lift was easy to assemble and use. I have not had it long enough to know how long the battery's will last. Overall I am very satisfied with the lift.

Weaknesses: I wish it had 2 speeds. One fast and then slow. It would be nice to have different wheels for hardwood Floors or with carpet. The wheels seem to be for hardwood floors.

Yes
Reviewer: S. from Winthrop, MA (caregiver)

End User Desc: Handicap mom with severe osteoporosis

Strengths: I have RA and had to have an electric lift. I thought it was going to cost thousands for one and this one didn't which made it easier to purchase immediately by credit card.

Weaknesses: It doesn't ride smoothly on rugs. I got a plastic piece which makes it easier to glide on but can still get a little tough. Otherwise it's a wonderful thing and made it possible to have mom at home!
