Mariner Rehab Shower Commode Chair - 24" Wheels: Review
simple construction, ease of use, plug for the seat opening -- could do as a wheelchair in a pinch

Decent shower chair
The seat is comfortable and easy to clean - as is the rest of the chair. The tires have tread and grip well for something immersed in water. It is nice for transferring that the armrests swivel up and down.
Slightly too high causing my son to feel like he can fall forward easily. Frame is rather wobbly and feels somewhat unstable. My son wishes the chair came with anti-tip bars but it is a minor issue.

Caregiver to son with muscular dystrophy - dependent on wheelchair for mobility, has difficulty standing/transferring.
Not as expected.
Ability to get wet.
Cheap construction, high cost compared to a quality, regular, wheelchair. Legs don't swing away, difficult removal.

great chair
It's compact, it rolls very nice, but of course its still new, it seems like a sturdy, safe product.
only weakness I have spotted is the wire bracket for the underneath bucket/pan does not fit properly or stay in place,

wheels too far to the rear, seat not soft enough, seat and...
rust resistance, leg rest adjustments
wheels are to far to the rear for wheeling. Seat needs to be slightly slanted bacfk for stability, back could be slightly slanted back. Seat cusion coulb be softer and less slippery when wet with soap and water. Leg rest extend too far forward. 785-623-6792

This chair meets my requirement for small width, but I...
Addresses the width issue very well. I find the chair to be very sturdy and well built.
Seat cushion is hard and becomes very slippery when wet, I have a difficult time staying in the chair since I slide about unless I use a seatbelt.

could use a sturdier back rest
compact in size, compared to previous behemouth, and looks to be a far better chair for not rusting.
very poor backrest.

I would recommnd this product, only if seat were changed
rLight weight, easy to use in portable shower
Seat is too deep and firm. It is difficult to get me far enough back on the seat to keep from slipping foward. Hand to put cloth on rear portion of seat to prevnt sliding foward. Seat is too hard and uncomfortable. A toilet shaped seat would work better.

Chair is not intended to roll over toilets.
Good price compared to manufacturer price.
Chair is too narrow to fit over most toilets (14" wide). Also, the bucket sits in a wire cage beneath the seat. Both the seat and cage must be removed to roll over a toilet (even if it is a narrow toilet). This is not easily accomplished while someone is in the chair. I have an older model that works fine. I'm not sure why they changed the design.
