It is well built and not hard to assemble.
Because it is sturdy it is extremely heavy and not easy to move at my age. Takes quite a bit of effort to swing the table out of the way.

My father is 86, and has arthritis in his back. He has been living with us for 1.5 years
It is the best thing I have purchased lately.
Holds a computer when you need it. It is strong and durable.

71 year old woman uses this. it is a big help using my computer. I keep my computer on it at all times. You can just swing it out of your way.

Easy to assemble. Feels very stable.
Plastic bushings in adjustable arms are kind of "cheap". Suggest including two additional furniture "coasters" for legs of chair that are not utilized by the Assist-A-Tray to "balance" the chair's height.

My 95 yr. old Mother uses the Assist-A-Tray to help her in getting up from her chair. It provides her needed support & stability.
extremely helpful to stand, and the tray multipurpose.
Helps me to get to my feet, and provides stability. The tray allows me to read a book/magazine or to write. The cup holder prevents me trying to get up too many times. I can put all my items down before sitting.Does more for me now than a lift chair. Cost is reasonable, as I pay out of pocket.
Would like if there was bar along the width of the table to prevent my items on the tray from slipping into my lap. With the bar I could even use the table for my laptop, and not worry about it sliding off.

the stability pole is a great feature - the aides really liked the whole idea of a smaller table that swings out of the way versus the regular stationary hospital table they use.
Really should not be used from the left side since the indented tray can't be moved and the drink inset placement is off. I believe this is better advertised as a right side only device unless you make those changes.

Might be OK for some if quality was good.
Intent of design and intended use for person needing the product.
Poor quality materials. Also gets in the way of normal movement for person using chair and table.

Just as illustrated in advertisement. An accessory to go with a new lift chair also purchased from S.L.
