Product Basics

The Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus was designed to bring travel scooters to a greater range of people than ever before. An increase in length, width, and a weight capacity of 300 lbs. combine with a wrap-around delta tiller to allow both the larger individual and those with limited dexterity to experience the benefits of a travel scooter for the first time. Feather-touch disassembly makes the Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus the easiest travel scooter to take along anywhere.

Wonderful enginering.
Reviewer: Sandra W. from KINGSVILLE, MO
End User Desc: I am a 62year old who has statin myopathy resulting in progressive weakness in my proximal muscles. I'm to the point I have constant weakness in leg.

Strengths: That it is so portable; it goes together so easily without any tools and the weight of the pieces are manageable.

Weaknesses: Difficulty getting the seat off. Haven't figured out the "knack" of getting it free.

Simply Great
Reviewer: Charlie H. from Otto, NC
End User Desc: getting over foot surgery and 4 years of sitting with foot elevated. Got very weak, but now up and wallking, but limited endurance still. The scooter

Strengths: ease of loading/unloading ability to handle slopes speed of motion Great appearance Great stability Well made Runs whisper-quiet Great pricing on scooter and lift

Weaknesses: Would like to be able to purchase additional in-home service after the actual purchase, just for security sake. When I made original purchase, I only went with the one year coverage, wish I had gone with the maximum coverage of 3 years. Best thought is I won't need the extra coverage. The product is beautifully built.

Terrific product. It has truly improved my life.
Reviewer: Emily C. from Portsmouth, OH
End User Desc: I am a 66 year old female. I have extremely bad arthritis in my left knee and will probably have to have a knee replacement soon.

Strengths: Easy to put together and take apart. Even I can do it. Easy to store in car. Moves so smoothly. Quite comfortable. Goes at a swift speed if needed. Very easy to maneuver. Fits easily into small areas. Turns beautifully. Stays charged for a very long time. Easy to charge when necessary.

Weaknesses: Would probably not do well on rough terrain.

Reviewer: Timothy M. from Moline, IL (caregiver)
End User Desc: 63, weak rt. leg, paralyzed left arm.

Strengths: Ease of assembly/disassembly, quality, nice looking.

Weaknesses: Basket too small, slightly difficult to remove seat(I am going to spray silicone on post, that may help), snaps on seat covering tend to come unsnapped often. Could use a light on front and rear to increase visability to other people.

We already have and they are considering buying one too:)
Reviewer: Timothy M. from Moline, IL
End User Desc: I am 63 years old and have arm and leg paralysis from polio at age 6 months. Have had many surgeries to keep me moving.

Strengths: My favorite thing is its easy to handle and can fit in any car trunk. It turns easily and moves along pretty good too.

Weaknesses: I wish it were lighter weight....even though it is:) I wish I were able to get it in the trunk of my car by myself. It is not the weight thing...it's the bulkiness of the body of the scooter. I have the use of one hand and would love to be independent...I want to do for myself. Maybe i am dreaming!!!! I am always interested in lite weight scooters so I can get out...shopping...etc. I can't use a wheelchair by myself. Also when I have it turned up to fast speed it hesitates for a second then jerks into action. If I turn it down slower it hesitates also but moves slower. I like to move...not creep along like instore scooters. My husband loves the easiness of putting in and out of our car. Before we had a van with a lift and a heavy old scooter. So far it is the best scooter I have ever driven and I have been on many many of them!!!

As a retired Quality Engineer, I am pleased to say this scooter passes my critical eye!
Reviewer: Ronald S. from Kingsport, TN
End User Desc: I have chronic rupturing of the achilles tendon. Recovery periods are a year or more; so I have been placed on permanent minimal walking.

Strengths: Top quality, easy to assemble/disassemble and transport. Plenty of power (adhere to the recommended weight limitations) and long-lasting battery charge. Good value for the cost.

Weaknesses: The hard-rubber tires do not perform well on grassy slopes or loose gravel. The various colored panels are an unnecessary added cost; save us a few bucks!

Strengths: I love the variable speed! Zoom! It goes from a pictured turtle to a jackrabbit! The battery lasts a long time!

Weaknesses: I wish it had a larger basket.I had to purchase a ramp (only $179 and worth it after what I saved on this site) because I would rather fold it down than take it all apart.

Quality product. I'm very pleased.
Reviewer: Jack C. from Pueblo, CO
End User Desc: I can "walk" my dog again! Yippee. Have taght her to heel with the Go-Go just as she used to heel beside me.

Strengths: Comes apart and goes together as promised... easily and quickly. Whole thing fits in the trunk of my Honda Accord. I was concerned that a product which comes apart might have strength integrity issues when assembled. No problems there. It goes together in a way that makes it strong and stable. Good power. Good speed. Good battery staying charged time periods. Comfortable to ride. Quality throughout.

Weaknesses: Really none. I guess I would say that I'm not sure that the little battery indicator is accurate. It's always in the green... seemingly no matter how long I ride. (Maybe it's true, I don't know yet.) Others have mentioned that the horn is wimpy. It is. But it's not like someone a block away needs to hear it.

Has excellent range and is easy to use.
Reviewer: Ralph S. from Pickerington, OH (caregiver)
End User Desc: My wife is 67 and can walk short distances. She has hip and knee arthritis. One knee has been replaced.

Strengths: Excellent travel scooter. We traveled with the scooter from Ohio to 3 islands in Hawaii. This is absolutely the easest way to get through airports. Especially when connections between flights are made in limited time. Airlines do not charge for this scooter. The scooter fits in a mid-size rental car trunk. It dis-assembles and re-assembles in seconds (no electrical plugs). We took it on several all day activities and never saw the power meter move off full charge. It fits in the under bus luggage compartment on FULL SIZE tour buses. We had no problems in shopping centers or elevators (avoid crowded elevators). We love the way the seat rotates in detent locks instead of a friction lock.

Weaknesses: You have to get a slight running start to get over certain bumps. An example is those expansion joints going up the jetway from an airplane to the terminal. There are usually about 3 of them. The wheels may slip on graveled surfaces. We left the arm rest at home! The front steering has a lock on it to keep the handlebar from swinging when you are lifting. Be sure to unlock the steering before inserting the key!!

absolutely easiest scooter ever used
Reviewer: Clara B. from Pittsburgh, PA
End User Desc: single mom with ms

Strengths: portability and size mainly, but I like the fact that I can change the color. Also the turning radius is awesome. It is light enough for my 8 yr old to dissassemble and reassemble! Travel extensively and find this to be the best product on the market for me Recommend highly without reservation!

Weaknesses: the basket is a bit flimsy, the scooter will stop if it is jarred but restarts with a turn of a key. Wonder why no one puts a rearview mirror as standard equipment? The ground clearance is smaller than my golden companion but this little scooter is quite a worker in tight spots.

great value, quality product for a reasonable price
Reviewer: John S. from Pine Plains, NY
End User Desc: age 57, male, 6', 195 lb., purchased because I cannot walk long distances due to heart issues.

Strengths: It can be broken down into 5 components that can be easily lifted into and stored in an automobile trunk or SUV cargo space. Easily assembled and disassembled. I got 8+ hours on my first battery charge and it had not even gotten down into the upper limits of the green (fully charged) indicator. Wow. Moves quickly and is zippy - I use mostly in malls and indoors.

Weaknesses: A tad short on foot/knee space; I have long legs and problems with mobility in my legs/feet, so it can be challenging at times to get my feet and legs positioned comfortably. Not a major concern. The 3-wheeler is surprisingly stable and has a very good short turn radius. It's small enough to use in crowded stores.

Strengths: I purchased this scooter to replace a regular GoGo Elite and I am happier with this model. It has plenty of power, a larger battery and is easy to handle.

Weaknesses: One thing I didn't like was the flimsy charger. The one that came with the smaller battery on the GoGo Elite was a better charger! I also switched seats as I liked the smaller seat better than the upgraded one.

Very good scooter for traveling.
Reviewer: Robert G. from Granada Hills, CA
End User Desc:

Strengths: Very easy to use this scooter in tight places. Small turning radius (3 wheel model). Pieces not to heavy to put in car. Seems well made so far with excellent design of motor and chassis. Got better seat and it is worth it along with nice basket for carrying stuff (cost extra). I did not put arm rests on scooter which makes seat less bulky to remove and store for travel. Went to Yosemite on first trip and it did the 1 mile roundtrip to the falls and all over the village with no problem (slight incline to the falls).

Weaknesses: Could not get a cane holder with this scooter model - a problem. Ground clearance a problem (we take it with our trailer when we travel and it helps me get around the RV campgrounds and to sightsee). One wheel drive can be a problem in a rut or gravel. Any small bump can be a barrier.

Gives mobility around town
Reviewer: Robert C. from Philadelphia, PA
End User Desc: 68 year old retired physician with MS since 1981. Major problem is the MS bent my lumbar spine in half making standing & walking difficult.

Strengths: Easy to take apart & put together. Thus easy to put into auto trunk. Simple controls. Very solidly built. Stable.

Weaknesses: 1. When I hit a bump on sidewalk, it deactivates the electric supply too easily causing scooter to beep and stop. Then must turn key off and back on. 2. The controls need to be absolutely waterproofed so scooter can be used in the rain without having to cover the steering mechanism & controls with plastic as advised by Spinlife during a phone call.

Small enough to use in a smaller home.
Reviewer: Susan H. from Caldwell, ID
End User Desc: 53 Year old female with Multiple Sclerosis who can not walk.

Strengths: Being small enough to use in my house. I love the scooter seat. It's very comfy. I like that the front tire isn't covered with the scooter floor, and is free to move on it own. It enables me to get as close as possible to things and it's very manueverable. Getting close as possible to the bathtub is VERY important when being disabled. I love the extra big battery pack. I like that the handles are a material that can be washed.

Weaknesses: I like less plastic on the scooter body. I liked the metal bodies. The plastic edges aren't too bad, but could be a little smoother. Sometimes I spasm and my feet go where they shouldn't, scraping the taller edge, behind the front wheel in front of where feet are supposed to go. Also my feet sometimes slip or slide and scrape underneath the scooter edges on the floor of the scooter when I'm transferring. My BIGGEST pet peeve is charging up the battery pack. I almost have to stand on my head. People with disabilities aren't always flexible enough to bend over to plug in the charger. They used to be in a more convenient and accessible place, and need to be again. A person could slide off the bed, or whatever, plugging it in, as I about have. Thank you for asking my opinion! Susan Hall

Strengths: The GoGO+ is a nice compact size that fits in our SporTrak or Dodge minivan.

Weaknesses: The 35 lb battery is heavy, and should not be advertised as light weight. At our ages, it feels twice as heavy. The manual doesn't list the weight of the 2 major pieces separately. I'm going to take weight training classes to build better muscle to put the GoGo in/out of the car.

Strengths: My Go Go scooter is easy to transort and to assemble and disassemble. I was concerned about my husband having to load and unload it, but it is quite managable for him! Having this scooter is opening the world to me once again. I had just quit going certain places and doing certain things because of my disabilities. Now I have a new hope. It is wonderful to get around so easily once again! Last Fri., we spent the day at the zoo with our 5 year old granddaughter! What a joy! I feel very safe on my scooter and it performs reliably. It fits easily into our car trunk and in moments, I can be on my way into the mall or crusing the park with plenty of zip and power to carry me where I want to go. I feel a newfound freedom! With a conventional wheelchair, I was dependent on others to transport me. With my scooter, I have regained some precious independence and dignity.

Weaknesses: I would like to have a headlight, but for all the rest I gained, this is still my choice in all of "scooterland".

I recommend this skooter.
Reviewer: Margo G. from Sewell, NJ
End User Desc: I'm in my 60's and have a bad back and bad knees. I love going to places like Disney and this skooter has given me what I need.

Strengths: The ease of portability and how easy it is to move around. It almost turns on a dime.

Excellent Product that exceeded expectations
Reviewer: Vincent A. from Beaver Creek, OH (caregiver)
End User Desc: The scooter is used by my 61 year old wife with arthritic hips.

Strengths: I try to be careful and research products before purchasing and decided to go with the traveler plus because of the higher weight limit and it is a little wider and longer. It easily maneuvers aisles in stores, has plenty of power, is well-constructed and fits in the trunk of our car without any problems. The seat is well made and comfortable and the basket on the front is a nice feature.

Weaknesses: Can accelerate quickly if not careful.
