Best product for anyone needing this service. Also, best price available anywhere.
Reviewer: Anthony J. from Vineland, NJ (caregiver)End User Desc: The transfer bench w/sliding seat was recommened by the physican taking care of my wife, 83yrs old who suffered a stroke.
Strengths: It's durability, 5 minute set up for use, comfortable for the patient, very easy for the care giver to help with bathing needs. Also, the transfer from wheelchair to bench is a breeze.
Weaknesses: The only problem we have experienced is not having railing attached to the seat. The safety strap helps, however, for a patient with no balance, it was difficult at first. My son simple attached two small pvc elbows ,solved the problem.

Reviewer: Thomas R. from Blackbutte Ranch, OR (caregiver)End User Desc: 58 yr old women with MS, poor balance, limited lower body strength.
Strengths: The seat has a cutout to allow washing. Slider reduces potential fall.
Weaknesses: I was told the seat had a cutout, but when it arrived, no cutout. I had to order additional replacement seat, then replace myself. Cost me additional $30 with shipping cost.

Reviewer: Sara W. from Canada (caregiver)End User Desc: 65 years old, MS x 30 years, no use of lower limbs, limited use of upper trunk and upper limbs
Strengths: Strengths are that it's light in weight and easy to put together.
Weaknesses: The legs feel very awkward and flimsy. I do realize they can support up to 250 lbs, but there is a lot of jerking around when transferring the patient to the chair and I don't feel very safe transferring by myself. At present, we're not even using the product.

Reviewer: Mike W. from Salinas, CA (caregiver)
End User Desc: My brother is 70 and, due to a stroke, has no use of his left side. He is also quite overweight.
Strengths: I drove my brother from California to Indiana for his college reunion. Whenever I've cared for him in the past, he fights like crazy the idea of taking a shower because of fear of falling, as I do not have very helpful facilities in my home. One of the hotels we stayed in had a transfer bench with the sliding seat. We tried it and he liked it so much, he wanted to buy the hotel's bench! Since they wouldn't sell it, we ordered one and it arrived at my home shortly after we arrived in Indiana. It worked so well! I'm 61 myself, so I'm no spring chicken, but I was able to shower him with no help from anyone else. On the trip back to California, he actually ASKED for a shower! Never happened before! It's a great product.
Weaknesses: If there would be way to keep the water in the shower and off the floor and me, it would be great, but I don't have any suggestions for how that could happen.

Makes showering a pleasant and safe experience.
Reviewer: Florann B. from Palmyra, VA (caregiver)End User Desc: My mom, who is in her 80+ years has trouble getting in and out of the tub due to groin surgery and a leg injury.
Strengths: The adjustability of the height, the wide seat, the smooth sliding of the bench-- all are the strengths.
Weaknesses: I understand the clip holding the bench must be secure, but it is hard to unclip when person is sitting on the bench. I don't know if you are thinking about a change because I feel the clip is also very secure.

Reviewer: debra T. from Hopkinsville, KYEnd User Desc: 50, 5 ft 7 in. 240 lbs left sided weakness d/t brain tumor.
Strengths: The seat slides easily and the bench is high enough that I don't feel like I am "falling" on to it when I sit. Smooth plastic seat...much easier on the "fleshy parts"
Weaknesses: The plastic "locking "hook sticks out and can cut the back of the leg when you turn. (I have to sit on it sideways and turn and face forward d/t lay out of bathroom.)
