Nice to have, but even though it is a petite, it's larger...
The heater and vibration system I ordered is great. The help in getting up is nice
All the wires and the size.

Great looking - good quality - wall hugger feature superb!
The chair is very attractive and the in-stock material is quite nice (we got the brown). The chair is pretty big, however, so note the dimensions. It works well when my father can figure out the control. Movement is very smooth and quiet - not too fast and not too slow. It seems to be very comfortable - my father sleeps in it often. It can be put quite close to the wall so it works in the small assisted living apartment. We have the chair on an angle - it somewhat hides all the chair's electronics that need to be placed behind the chair. Note that you may need to adjust the height of your TV so the the occupant can view TV without their feet getting in the way when the chair is reclined. I am very happy with the purchase - I spent months researching various products before I settled on this one. This is a really nice chair - even for someone with mild senility.
My father gets confused with the control and he seems to have trouble finding the control once seated. A "sit back/recline" and "get up" home-made label has helped (he cannot see the small pictures on the control). We had to use velcro to stick the control to the seat so he could find it easily. The seat is very big (we got a medium based on his height and weight) and I have to constantly remind him to slide his rear end back in the seat sliding is hard because of the pad we bought to protect the seat. The chair has toppled over a few times, but I was not there so I don't know what exactly happened and my parents were a bit vague and foggy-headed about it. My mother may have leaned on or sat on the arm while my father was reclined or my father may have tried to get up from it while it was reclined, thinking he was in bed. If you are buying this for a smallish person, note that the overall seat area (front to back and left to right) is pretty big. BE SURE TO PUT IN THE BATTERY for power failures right away, when you are setting the chair up - don't forget like my husband did - the assisted living had a power failure a few weeks after we got the chair and my father had to call for help. We have a fresh battery in it now and several spared on hand.

My 91 year old father has arthritis in his knees and he was having trouble getting up from the sofa. He can easily get up.
