Reviewer: kwang li c. from lyndhurst, va

User Details: Hemiplegic SCI in late 30s

Strengths: Stays in place when bed is raised, only rolls when adjusted to its lowest setting

Weaknesses: Side rails are add-ons. Full length side rails are a must if user can self roll in bed as the side rails afford greater safety. Do not get the basic nylon mattress like I did, definitely worth spending more and getting a better mattress - very hard and uncomfortable.

Reviewer: austin b. from tucson, az

User Details: I am an 84+ year old male who has sleep apnea and who uses a bipap and an oxygen machine every night to sleep.

Strengths: It seems to be well built and durable.

Weaknesses: The electrical remote control keeps falling on the floor during the night.

Reviewer: gabrielle k. from lonetree, co (caregiver)

User Details: A 91-yr. old woman. She had this brand of bed at a nursing facility

Strengths: Versatility - moves up and down with knee and head lift. The feature of having something that holds the mattress in place so it doesn't slip off (those mattresses are slippery).

Weaknesses: So far, haven't found anything.

Reviewer: robert s. from berkley, ca

User Details: I am a 69 year old male with a neuromuscular disease that keeps me in a wheelchair.

Strengths: The range of motion is amazing! The bed can go to any height between 8" and 30" at the touch of a button. The various motors are as smooth as butter. The frame and linkages are perfectly designed, welded, and balanced. All together an outstanding product!

Weaknesses: I bought the optional head and foot boards, choosing the basic model. It turns out that they're made of flimsy particle board and completely unnecessary. There are rods at the foot and head of the frame that will keep the mattress from sliding off the bed.

Reviewer: pieter r. from simsbury, ct (caregiver)

User Details: 76 yr woman suffered a stroke. Paralized on the right side. Home care.

    Strengths: Hi/Lo capability.

Weaknesses: This is a fine product that could be improved. Batery backup should be standard and build in. Side rails, ordered later, missed mounting clips that I had to obtain in a local hardware store. Controls should be wireless. Head and foot boards are not designed for home environment.
