Breaking system could use some redesign and maybe more clearance from the wheels but maybe this is only an adjustment that I can make?

Wife of 84 years who routinely uses a cane but finds the transport chair best for longer outings.
Unhappy
The only thing good about the wheelchair is the 12" wheels because it makes the chair accessible for tight doorways if it isn't wider then 19 inches.
The handbrake system makes it the weakness of it because the handle brake system on the side works so so much better.
