good buy for the money

3.0 / 5
Strengths:

lightweight, sturdy

Weaknesses:

the smooth wheels make it very difficult to maneuver on carpeting. The wheels are very difficult to turn in tight spaces. I am 67, with bum hips....have run into trouble several times just getting the chair to move. Hand brakes would be better.

I thought this had removable arms.

3.0 / 5
Strengths:

Light and easy to push around.

Weaknesses:

I thought I ordered a chair with removable arms. I can't really use this because I need to transfer my Mom from chair to chair with a transfer board. Can I exchange this for a transport chair with removable arms; as I cannot even use this chair?

Companion wheelchair.

3.3 / 5
Strengths:

We bought it because it is lightweight and my husband won't hurt his back putting it in the van.

Weaknesses:

The disappointment is that the front wheels take up too much side room when turning it around. They stick out too far on the sides. Also, the cheap plastic wheels will need to be replaced with ones with rubber or something, as they really crash a person on the bumps of the sidewalk, etc. Cheap hard plastic is a rough ride over anything but smooth.

I'm a 60 yr. old female who was in a car accident, post reconstructive surgery. Though I use crutches, I use this for longer distances.

Light weight

3.0 / 5
Strengths:

Light weight is why it was ordered.

Weaknesses:

Foot supports should hook into side of chair leg when not in use -- a former chair had this feature.
