User Details: Spinal cord injury due to car accident. Disabled in one leg.

Strengths: Well-built and well-engineered. Looks great. Built in USA.

Weaknesses: Difficult to change front tire. User instructions for repair is unclear.

Reviewer: brian n. from no. hollywood, ca

User Details: 56 year old male, double amputee.

Strengths: It's easy to use. The shifting is simplified. It's a smooth ride.

Weaknesses: The hand cranks are placed in such a way that unless you have very thin legs, they just graze you. Also the chain guard is too close to the left hand crank.

Reviewer: kevin m. from queen creek, az

    User Details: Not provided

Strengths: The Design is comfortable to sit in and can get me most any where another bike would go!

Weaknesses: The lack of ability to make sharp turns. It takes about the entire street to turn and make a 180. The foot/leg slings and tire hits my leg and since I am partially paralized, I can take my leg out of the sling momentarilly to make a sharper turn. A rear stearing system may come in handy and be more effective!

Reviewer: jane k. from santa fe, nm

User Details: I am 59. When I bought the XTR, I was 30 pounds heavier than I was in 1986 when I ran my last marathon. After less than two weeks on the XTR, I am on

Strengths: The bike is very easy to ride and was easy to adjust to fit me. Mountain gears take me up the big hills. The bike is well built and looks like it will give me many years of good service. The BEST thing about the bike is it allows me to get active again, outdoors, in the sun, and gives me that all-over physical joy I had when I was a runner.

Weaknesses: The chain tensioner needs to be reconfigured so the hex head bolts do not dig into the front wheel. A nice guy at the local hardware store custom cut two pan head bolts for me and that solved the problem.
