The Jazzy Air 2 is very well made. Top quality materials...
What immediately is apparent when first seeing the Jazzy Air 2, is its quality of material. It is extremely rugged but also compact. I Assembled with no problems. The instructions were easy to follow. The ability to elevate the chair was the main reason I wanted the unit. My wife is less than 5’ tall and with the lift she can be raised so she can see out when setting in our conversion van. She rides in the “passenger side”. The large batteries provide plenty of power.
Not sure if these are weaknesses so I have two suggestions; (1) not everyone is familiar with using a joystick. My wife has problems controlling her movement and I’m sure it will get better with use. Her natural movement was to attempt to “turn” the joystick. Could the unit be made with a small (about 2-inch diameter) “steering wheel” as an option? Also, (2) we have a van with BraunAbility conversion that has an EZ-Lock to secure the unit. Thankfully the Jazzy Air 2 was built with a heavy metal band on the bottom which I drilled and tapped to accommodate a 5/8-inch bolt that latches into the EZ-Lock. This causes some problem however because of its low ground clearance. Could the unit be made with that “3/8-inch Pin” on a band fastened such that with a 45-degree lever turn, it could be lowered and used to engage the EZ-Lock?

My wife, age 87, is the user. I’m her primary caregiver. A stroke 3 yr. ago left her without use of her right side. Blessed, she is left-handed.
Love this chair. Easy to use.
fits through doors in my house.
Should come with a ramp or an option to buy a ramp.

The chair is good. The addons, caneholder, divided...
It works very well and the vertical movement is a fantastic addition, both at home and at work.
I don't like the wobbly left/right action the new lift causes. It needs to be steadier, straight on. The cupholder will need a hole drilled but seems ok. Everything else sticks out too far and needs adjustment or removal. The worst thing was the delivery. The chair was incredibly slow coming. I had tried to buy it from my regular dealer in January. When your guy arrived (with his son to assist) he was not a white glove person. His behavior was some of the rudest, tense, and unhelpful I have ever seen. His constant verbal abusiveness to his son, a whipped puppy was intolerable. But worst of all, he was incompetent and didn't know how to use his tools. Nothing was installed well. I now will have to hire someone to redo everything he did. I would never have let him if I'd known what to expect.
