These chairs a must for older adults with arthritis or those recovering from surgery. Very nice appearance. Doesn't look like "medical" equipment, fits right in with other furniture.

We purchased the leg extender and it scrapes the berber carpet, doesn't close all the way at times - expect over time it will break. Would have liked more color choices. The delivery was very disappointing. They called to schedule delivery and then didn't deliver it for 5 days. Don't count on it coming as indicated.

My father is 79 years old, 6'3" tall and has had 5 joints in 12 years replaced due to arthritis - 2 hips, 2 knees and a shoulder.

When I ordered it I had hoped for a different color and assumed that when asked about the user size I would get a larger size seat. If he gains any weight back the seat will be too tight.
