This pad is washable for incontinent users. Has a nice high quality feel and is very comfortable for my Mom to sit on. She used to complain constantly about her bottom hurting. Now she never complains. This is definitely a high-end seat cushion. The wheelchair company wanted to sell us something else just as expensive. After extensive on-line research, I found this pad which is a lot more effective for the same price. The pad was definitely a wonderful value purchase for my Mom.

The chair pad is directional. It needs to have a Front and Back written on the bottom so that the nursing home staff know how to put the pad in the chair when it is removed for some reason. We solved the problem by writing "Front" and "Back" on the bottom of the pad in silver sharpie (purchased from a office supply store).

Mom has Parkinson's/is very sensitive to pressure. She sits all day in a wheelchair.

Ability to vary the seat firmness and tailor it to meet patient support needs.

The small pockets do not provide the needed pressure/support variation. The pressure/support tends to equalize during used. I am going to have to get a new custom foam cushion. I am disappointed that this cushion did not meet my needs.
