Uncomfortable, feet hang over
It does move up and down to assist me getting up.
When reclined beading on arms makes resting arms on beading very uncomfortable. Just not comfortable. I miss my lazy boy but it didn't have lift feature. I wish I had not bought it. Sorry for this bad review but you asked.

Unfortunately, my husband passed away two weeks after delivery of the chair. However, he loved the chair which made his life so much easier.
Nice chair, but not for everyone.
Firm frame, nice fabric, ease of use.
Reclining feature does not allow for sitting up straight with feet up.
