Lightweight Expedition w/12" Rear Wheels

Purchased it largely because it is narrow enough to fit through our bathroom doors, unlike most others. That is a great help to the end-user and the caregiver. The large rear wheels and little peddle to lift up the front wheels work well together on bumpy terrain and to get over small steps.

Arm rests are too high for a short person and are not adjustable. Dad sits on a puffy pillow and that works out just fine. He wishes he could control the wheel brakes, but I am glad he can't!

Not having used the chair yet in the setting for which it was purchased, I feel unqualified to comment at this time.

Folded, it is larger than I had hoped for packing into a car.

The user is 93, arthritis badly, and has dementia. Resistant to use of any chair.

Other reviewers said this did not have parking brakes. They are wrong! It does, all you need to do is pull the brake handles down, not up!

It works well and as the primary caregiver, I can lift it and put it into the car even tho I an 76 years old.

Attractive color and design, light weight, very easy to fold down handles and removable foot rests. Easy to carry and transport, easy to store.

THE BRAKES ARE NOT ENGAGED UNLESS HANDLES ARE SQUEEZED. A LOCKED CHAIR IS SAFER TO USE WHEN GETTING INTO CAR.MY CAREGIVER AND I NEED TO LEARN TO USE IT AT OPTIMUM.
