Makes bathing much easier.
The seat has a cutout to allow washing. Slider reduces potential fall.
I was told the seat had a cutout, but when it arrived, no cutout. I had to order additional replacement seat, then replace myself. Cost me additional $30 with shipping cost.

THE SLIDING BENCH, LIGHT WEIGHT OF PRODUCT
METAL BARS COULD BE A LITTLE BIT LONGER, SO SEAT COULD BE COMPLETELY OUT OF TUB AS PT SITS DOWN.

89 years old, blind, not able to get in tub
Would recommend an automatic lift for the bathtub all...
Strengths are that it's light in weight and easy to put together.
The legs feel very awkward and flimsy. I do realize they can support up to 250 lbs, but there is a lot of jerking around when transferring the patient to the chair and I don't feel very safe transferring by myself. At present, we're not even using the product.

Transfer Bench w/ sliding seat: Review
I drove my brother from California to Indiana for his college reunion. Whenever I've cared for him in the past, he fights like crazy the idea of taking a shower because of fear of falling, as I do not have very helpful facilities in my home. One of the hotels we stayed in had a transfer bench with the sliding seat. We tried it and he liked it so much, he wanted to buy the hotel's bench! Since they wouldn't sell it, we ordered one and it arrived at my home shortly after we arrived in Indiana. It worked so well! I'm 61 myself, so I'm no spring chicken, but I was able to shower him with no help from anyone else. On the trip back to California, he actually ASKED for a shower! Never happened before! It's a great product.
If there would be way to keep the water in the shower and off the floor and me, it would be great, but I don't have any suggestions for how that could happen.
