This mattress uses Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT) for the head and torso to draw away heat.  Thus, VGPT is more effective at keeping the body cool and prevents perspiration far better than basic foam.  The air pockets in the foam section allow air to better circulate which also contribute to keeping the user cool plus the air pockets will allow the user to better submerge into the mattress and distribute pressure over a larger area and provide better support.  The foot is an often overlooked area for skin breakdown.  The Lura-Quilt foam and 30 degree sloop at the foot will increase air circulation in the heel area will help with decreasing pressure and keeping the skin cool to prevent against skin breakdown.
