Rigid wheelchairs, at least in terms of popularity, are the primary choice in ultralightweight wheelchairs. Featuring a rigid frame to eliminate additional hardware and mechanisms, such as those found in a folding frame, this lightens the weight and increases both response and performance. Rigid ultralightweight chairs also feature a lengthy amount of options, such as the basics (push handles and flip-up armrests), Spinergy SPOX wheels and light-up front casters.

Folding Ultralightweight Wheelchairs

Is transporting your chair behind your car seat a necessity? Can’t imagine life without swing-away legrests (without sacrificing weight or performance)? If you answered yes to any of the above, then a folding ultralightweight wheelchair may be your best option. Not only do these chairs feature the same variety of options available to rigid chairs, they also fold up by tugging on the seat upholstery.

Titanium Ultralightweight Wheelchairs

If you’re looking for a mix of lightness, strength, durability and build-in shock absorption, then titanium is your material of choice. We carry both folding and rigid varieties of titanium chairs. True, titanium wheelchairs usually cost more and take a little while long to build (expect a range between 10-14 days, as opposed to 3-5 days), but these chairs are the preferred choice of SpinLife’s staff. If you don’t mind the added cost, then you’ll find there’s no better choice.

SpinLife is here to support you through the complete sale and this includes helping you with any problems that may come up after you receive your manual wheelchair.  SpinLife honors all manufacturer warranties on the products we sell.  Call us at 800-850-0335 and tell us what you need.  If the part is covered by warranty, we will send it to you at no charge.  If it is not covered by the manufacturers warranty, we will make it available to you at a fair price...just like everything else we sell.

What happens if I want to return my ultralightweight wheelchair?
Ultralightweight and sport wheelchairs are non-returnable as they are manufactured to order.  If the wheelchair arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, SpinLife will arrange for freight and for shipping you an undamaged or corrected unit.
