The PSV, Pressure Setting Valve, has three pre-set positions that provide the best range of immersion for most users. Simply sit on a fully inflated cushion, open the valve to the selected position and when enough air has been released the valve automatically shuts off the flow, then just close the PSV.
Standard Valve

The Standard Valve does not require a pump to inflate the cushion, just open the valve by turning it counter-clockwise to fully inflate the cushion, close the valve by turning it clockwise and then sit on it and re-open the valve to release air. You want to sink down about 1 to 2 inches and when that desired level is reached close the valve.
