The WHILL Model A Personal Mobility Device is the future of electric mobility. This innovative chair combines unprecedented functionality and design to enhance your everyday life.
The Model A is unlike any other mobility device available on the market today. Four-wheel drive and front wheels with omni-wheel technology are just two of the distinguishing factors that set the Model A apart. The Model A's front wheels are composed of 24 smaller wheels that are positioned in all directions, enabling the Model A to maneuver more precisely with the highest level of traction and stability. All four wheels are large, allowing the Model A to tackle obstacles and nearly any terrain.
The Model A is not only highly versatile, it's also ergonomically designed for all-day use. Each chair is made with the user's build and needs in mind for a comfortable, customized fit. The unique power seat glide feature moves the chair forward by up to 5.9" for a more natural position while sitting at desks or tables, and flip-back arms allow for easy transfers without barriers.
Top-of-the-line technology is the cherry on top of this truly exceptional device. An exclusive WHILL iPhone or Android app enables you to move and position your chair from up to 30 feet away as well as update and change the settings of your chair. The Model A's functions can also be locked and unlocked to keep your chair safe when not in use.

Seat
Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration. Hanger Angle3 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width4 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Front Seat to Floor5 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare. |
