The Pride Jazzy Select 6 has visual appeal thanks to a sporty design while providing a smooth ride due to its suspension system. The attractive shroud is protected from scratching and fading with Pride’s Jazzy Armor and color-through shroud. The Select 6 is powered by a an inline two-motor set-up with mid-wheel drive to give the user a great blend of a tight 21.875” turning radius and great stability. Comfort and proper seat positioning are achieved with a depth adjustable, limited recline high back seat. The armrests are flip-up for easy transfers in and out of the seat and height adjustable for your positioning preferences. The deluxe contour seat hugs you in place for excellent seating support.
What Makes This Different
Two features distinguish the Select 6 – its standard Active-Trac Suspension and option for a power elevating seat. Pride’s patented Active-Trac Suspension puts all six wheels on the ground for great stability. An articulating beam for the caster wheels gives stability when going over uneven surfaces both indoors and out. The Select 6 will give you a great ride even when dealing with uneven terrain or ramp transitions. A power elevating seat allows you to raise and lower the seat 4”. You can raise the seat to access items that would be out of reach with other wheelchairs not offering a rising seat option. The seat to floor height range with the power elevating seat option added is 22-3/4” to 26-3/4”.
Why We Like It
The Jazzy Select 6 with its Active-Trac Suspension is great for both indoor and outdoor usage. An adjustable footplate allows the user to adjust height and depth to their preferred sitting preferences. The chair’s appearance will stay sharp and stylish with Pride’s color-through shroud. If you would like the ability to access shelves and items above your head, you can add the Select 6’s option for a power elevating seat. Enjoy a full day’s worth of activity with a generous 15 mile charge range.

Seat
Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration. Hanger Angle3 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width4 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Front Seat to Floor5 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare. |
