A power elevating seat that raises you up to 12” in just 11 seconds!
The Jazzy Air 2 power wheelchair by Pride Mobility is an improved version of the groundbreaking Jazzy Air. This new version features a power elevating seat that raises 12 inches in just 11 seconds! (that's 2 additional inches vs Jazzy Air 1). The most unique aspect of the power elevating seat is that it can raise or lower while the unit is in motion. Getting to your desired elevation is convenient and allows you participate in life as it’s happening. Imagine that you’re headed to a high-top table. With a normal power elevating seat, you have to wait to get to the table before you can raise the seat. With the ability to raise and lower the seat while you’re in motion, the Jazzy Air 2 allows you to participate in the present. When the seat is fully elevated, you can enjoy conversations with your friends and loved ones face-to-face.
What Makes It Different:
Mid-wheel drive provides an excellent turning radius of just 20.75” for optimum maneuverability, even in tight spaces. Even chairs without power elevation rarely achieve such maneuverability and tight turning ability. The Jazzy Air 2 features Active-Trac® Suspension which provides superior stability in both raised and lowered positions. At full elevation, the Air goes up to 4 mph when lowered or fully elevated. It also has an impressive drive range of 16.8 miles with the standard U1 batteries, or and 19.2 mile drive range with the 40AH battery upgrade. If comfort is your primary concern, you can rest easy knowing that you can adjust the Air 2 to fit your individual needs. There are three different seat sizes to choose from, and unlike other power wheelchairs with elevating seats, the footplate on the Air 2 actually moves simultaneously with the seat as it’s moving up or down. The footplate is angle adjustable and has three different height adjustments. The armrests are also adjustable by height, angle, and depth so you’re sure to be comfortable in the Air 2. The Jazzy Air 2 also boasts a fold-flat seat which increases ease of storage when not in use.
Why We Like It:
Not only is the Jazzy Air 2 decked out with great modern features you’ve come to expect in a power chair, it also looks the part. The sleek, attractive design is perfectly suited for the level of innovation Pride mobility has achieved with the Air 2. The Air 2 is not just about the power elevating seat. The Air 2 performs indoor and out. The Mid-wheel 6 drive wheels and Active-Trac Suspension provides outstanding stability. Combining elevation abilities, actually riding fully elevated at full speed, maneuvering in tight spaces, and maintaining a smooth ride courtesy of the excellent suspension system; the Jazzy Air 2 is a chair for all your needs and desires.
What You Need To Know When Ordering:.
The Jazzy Air 2 will arrive in 3 separate boxes; the base, the seat and then a small box with the colored shroud. You will need to assemble the seat onto the base.
Complimentary set-up by a certified Pride technician is optional as well as one year of in-home service. Certified technician set-up times varies by location. The technician set-up is not a white glove service as the technician comes out after delivery. For users who require extra assistance in unpacking their power chair a White Glove Delivery Service is available. With White Glove Delivery, your power chair is brought into your home, set up, tested and all packaging material is removed. Though our White Glove Delivery option includes the set-up of your power chair, comfort adjustments, like foot rest height, will need to be done by the caregiver or user.
Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.
Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration.
Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.
Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.
Front Seat to Floor5
Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare.
