The Gemini heavy duty power wheelchair by Merits Health seamlessly combines comfort with functionality. This is one of a very few heavy-duty power wheelchairs to offer not only a heavy-duty (450 lbs) capacity, but an optional power elevating seat, too! With highly adjustable features, a unique suspension system, and excellent maneuverability, this chair is ready to perform while keeping you comfortable.The Gemini is designed to be highly adaptable, so whether you’re using it at home or roaming about town, this chair is up to the challenge.
Why We Like It
The Gemini navigates obstacles with ease. It has a tight, 21 inch turning radius that’s perfect for getting around small spaces so it’s ideal for indoor use. If you’re tackling more rugged terrain, you can rest easy; the Gemini has an impressive 4 inch ground clearance, a ten degree incline rating, large 14 inch foam-filled drive tires, and a suspension system to get you through any situation. And if you’re looking to use your power chair for long distances, the Gemini fits the bill with a 20 mile drive range and a top speed of up to 5 miles per hour.
What Makes This Different
The features that come standard on the Gemini feel like premium upgrades and are made to be customized to your individual needs. From the programmable controller down to the adjustable features of the seat and footplate, this chair can be tailored to your liking. The controller has a wide range of selections that can be saved once you find your favorite settings. Seating is also highly customizable; both the headrest and seat back can be adjusted and the seat back reclines. The base of the seat can swivel from side to side, and the armrests are adjustable by height and width. The standard footplate can also be adjusted by height and angle. With the Gemini, you are bound to ride around in comfort. The Gemini is one of only one of two heavy duty power wheelchairs with an elevating seat option. The Gemini can elevate from a base height of 24" up to 29". Instead of searching for someone to assist you in reaching that item too high on the shelf, you can now reach it on your own and maintain your independence!

Your power chair is shipped free with our residential delivery. With this delivery option, the chair will be shipped to your home. You may require additional assistance getting your power chair into the home and assembled.

| Seat
Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration. Hanger Angle3 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width4 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Front Seat to Floor5 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare. |

Warranty Information
Corporation warrants to the original purchaser of this powerbase wheelchair product that it is free of defects in material and workmanship and that, when operated within the guidelines and restrictions of this manual, will remain so free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
Excluded from this warranty is failure due to negligence, abuse, accident, operation outside of rated limits, commercial or institutional use, damage / wear to upholstery or tires and improper maintenance or storage. The batteries for this powerbase wheelchair product are not supplied by Corporation; contact the battery manufacturer / supplier if warranty replacement is requested.
This powerbase wheelchair product must not be modified in any way without the express written consent of Corporation. Any such unauthorized modification could cause unreliable and/or unsafe operation and will void this warranty.
Where a failure occurs within the 1-year warranty period that is not excluded above, the failed components will be replaced with similar new or reconditioned components at sole option. Corporation will not be responsible for labor and / or freight charges.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other express warranties of merchantability, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
