Overview of the Neptune Pool Access Wheelchair

Overview:

The pool access wheelchair by Aqua Creek Products is ideal for use in swimming pools with ramps or beach entry. Constructed of durable and corrosion resistant stainless steel, these chairs will provide you with years of trouble free use. The chair comes in four different sizes with varying weigh capacities. The 18" and 20" seat widths are foldable models with a weight capacity of 350 lbs. While the 24 " width offers a wider seat option with a 375 lb weight capacity. The chair is also available in an HD size, a 22" seat width. The HD model is not foldable as they are built with a reinforced frame, which allows for a 500 lb weight capacity.

These wheelchairs are collapsible for easy storage and the flip up arms make for easy transfers. Upholstery is mildew resistant mesh and suitable for daily use in pool environments.

The stainless steel pool access wheelchair will ship via curbside delivery, some assembly is required.

Seat Depth¹

Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.

Back Height²

Measured from the seat base to the top of the wheelchair back. Depends on how much upper back support is needed, and also affects freedom for the upper body to rotate.

Rear Seat to Floor³

Measurement from the ground to the rear seat edge. Relative to the front seat-to-floor dimension, this determines the rearward slope ("dump" or "squeeze") of the wheelchair seat.

Hanger Angle⁴

Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.

Seat Width⁵

Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.

Wheel Camber⁶

Angle of the wheel relative to the vertical. More camber improves stability and agility, but also limits ability to pass through narrow spaces. A typical daily wheelchair uses three degrees of camber.

Front Seat to Floor⁷

Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Do not add the footrest clearance if the wheelchair will be foot-propelled.

Footrest Width⁸

Measure from the inside of each legrest tubing the distance or desired distance between legrests.

Center of Gravity⁹

Measure from the front of the seat back post to the center of the rear axel.

Seat to Footrest Length¹⁰

Measure from the edge of the seat upholstery to the top rear of the footrest.

Backrest Angle¹¹

Measure the the angle of the back post to the floor. Ninety degrees will be perpendicular to the floor, to approximate the angle from the back post to the seat, subtract two degrees from measurment for every .5" of dump.

Warranty Information for the Neptune Pool Access Wheelchair
Aqua Creek Products stainless steel wheelchairs have a Limited 1-year Warranty, not including wear components. Aqua Creek Products, LLC (a.k.a. Aqua Creek) warrants to the original end user that all non-wear components when properly assembled in accordance with assembly and installation instructions, and properly used and maintained, shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, provided that Aqua Creek receives prompt notice in writing of any defect or failure and satisfactory proof thereof.

This warranty specifically excludes reimbursement for labor to remove, repair, or install the product and any freight charges. These warranties do not cover any damages due to accident, force majeure, act of nature, misuse, abuse, negligence or failure to properly maintain any products, or normal wear and tear from day to day operations. In the event that any products are altered, repaired, or improperly installed or improperly used by anyone without the prior written approval by Aqua Creek, all warranties are void. IMPORTANT: AMOUNT OF WEIGHT PLACED ON PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED ITS RATED CAPACITY. It is the responsibility of the product owner to verify the weight of the patron for warranty claim purposes and to ensure that the product is not overloaded. Non-payment for product to Aqua Creek may void warranty

Excluded wear components include but are not limited to; the chair’s upholstery, tires, and wheel bushings as well as other components that do wear with normal daily use.

To initiate a warranty claim, the owner of an Aqua Creek product must provide the place of purchase, in writing, with a full description of the product, its serial number, the dates of purchase and installation, and the exact nature of the defect. Within thirty (30) days after receipt of a written warranty claim by Aqua Creek, and barring any unforeseen delays, the place of purchase will be notified of Aqua Creek’s decision regarding the claim.

If requested by Aqua Creek, any defective product must be returned, freight prepaid by customer, to Aqua Creek’s designated factory location or duly appointed distributor for inspection and/or repair. Aqua Creek will, at its option, repair or replace the failed or defective item, and deliver the repaired product or replacement to the customer. All freight charges are the responsibility of the customer. Products returned to Aqua Creek for which Aqua Creek provides replacement under this limited warranty shall become the property of Aqua Creek. A new warranty period shall NOT be established for the repaired or replaced products. Such products shall remain under warranty only for the remainder of the original warranty period on the original products purchased.

This written limited warranty constitutes the final, complete and exclusive statement of warranty terms. No person or organization is authorized to make any other specific or implied warranties or representations on behalf of Aqua Creek.

THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE.
