Tracer SX5 Recliner - Custom

I had looked all around for a wheelchair that could be custom built. Finally found this (which is very much like his old one). Called and I believe Daniel? helped me with all the specs. It s exactly what I hoped for.

User is 60 years old, mild cognitive issues and has severe epilepsy.

This chair rolls so much easier than her last wheelchair, as the front wheels are a little bigger and aid in getting around easier. Also, I like that the top extended head piece can be detached and put back on easily.

The arms come completely off, but I would rather have them tilt back, so that caregivers don't put them back on incorrectly, or at a different height than the other arm rest. Also, the arm is padded which is nice, but doesn't fit under tables very well and the padding is damaged easily.

My mother is the user of the Invacare Tracer SX5 Recliner Wheelchair. My mom is 92 years old and has Alzheimer's and can no longer walk.

Bought this for my dad, he needed a higher back. The home where he is staying loves it. My dad also likes it as well.

Well made and easy to push and move around.

The only thing I would change would be the neck pillow; it's a bit small. It would be more comfortable if it was a little bigger.

I purchased this chair for my dad and he is very happy with it. He especially likes the reclining feature.

It reclines easily, the leg rests elevate to match his new position beautifully. Well made!!

It goes thru doors with ease. Does everything it says it will do. makes her comfortable.

So far all I can say is it is heavy - and that was expected.

I purchased this for an elderly (94) year old lady. She has a very bad hip. So far the chair has done everything we need it to do.

The ability to lay flat when I go to the Dr. I purchased this chair so that the DR. could lay me flat to place a Foley catheter.

Hard to push on inclines due to the wheel being further back for balance when laying flat.

The Tracer SX5RC wheelchair is well made, sturdy and easy to handle.

In all fairness, I have not had the chair long enough to comment on its weaknesses. However, I sincerely doubt that there will be many, if any to share.
