rigid foam base may cause others some difficulty with...
I like the liquid gel material on the firm base much better than other wheelchair cushions that have solid gel with "beehive" appearance and often no base layer.
The front edges on both sides of the rigid base make my "slide" transfer more difficult as they curve upward to "cradle" the gel layer.

It's good preventing problems, along with pressure relief...
It's comfortable, especially if you use the better seat cover that allow air flow and has some padding to it.
Having to always push the gel into place to fill the hole sitting makes. I've used this cushion for 22 years and wish it could be made so the gel stays contained. I haven't changed cushions because I haven't had skin breakdown. Obviously I do pressure relief lifts, too.

Struggling to find a cushion that can go beneath seat cover on scooter (required for transfer). The Jay was "hard as a rock" when under the cover?

Easily cleaned. Gel squishes into the right place for support.
The gel is not enough under the thighs to give adduction support. We really didn't want to have a large hump in the middle of the foam base, but having more gel under the thigh area would give enough control and comfort.

Rigid foam base caused pressure spot on leg.

The gel pads do not protect outside of legs from pressure spots from rigid foam base. Had to discontinue use after about 1 week.
