The legs of the bench are straight, not splayed. The seating area is large enough and comfortable enough for a good bathing experience. The back is removable and it can be used left hand or right hand.
The seam around the bench will crack after a while, which can cause the bench to tilt a bit.

The user is wheel chair bound due to severe arthritis in her knees. She cannot stand for a shower, so she uses the transfer bench in the bathtub.
Safe product to assist my bathing needs.

Do not buy this, unless you have good back & core muscles
Easy to assemble. Attractive.
It's all about the back. Invacare used to have a very different back, that was stable. This shower chair has a back that slips into 2 slots, The back is not a safe design.
