Poly-Fly: Review
As the name Pollywog implies, this chair is a true transformer. Not much heavier than some dedicated "transport" chairs but (with the easily detachable large wheels) offering added independence for the user. The main body of the chair folds as compactly as the most sophisitcated "transport" chairs, and the quick-release hubs allow the 24 inch wheels to be stored in another recess of the automobile cab or trunk.
None. Additional strength to accomodate an extremely large person would come at the cost of 10 to 20 more pounds of chair weight, or at thousands of dollars more expense (titanium, for instance?). At SpinLife, I was able to get this chair NEW, for less than the cost of used aluminum chairs on eBay.

60 year old woman with Multiple Sclerosis, widowed last summer. Chair is used primarily by Church families to transport her.
Very well engineered.
Light weight, strong build and very comfortable.
I have found none.

To me this configuration with the removable wheels and the fold down handles is great.
This chair enables me to go places more easily.
Its greatest asset is the fold down handles, enabling it to fit into my car trunk. It replaces a much more expensive chair which was cumbersome, and did not fit as well. It also replaces a transport chair which would fit into the trunk, but needed to be pushed by another, greatly reducing my independence.
The only real problem I had with this product involved the small rear wheels. These would catch on irregular surfaces causing the driving wheels to spin, stopping movement entirely. Removal of these small wheels solved the problem without lessening the usability of this excellent chair. The Pollywog Transport Chair is a great buy. It gives the customer good quality at an affordable price.

I am a 72 year old male with post-polio syndrome.
Light weight and ease of use has made my life easier, and...
Its light weight and sturdy design. I appreciate being able to "transform" it into a regular wheelchair, but we use it mostly in its transport chair mode. Mom is able to get around the house herself using her feet, which was very difficult with the rental chair. I appreciate its lighter weight and ease of folding and putting in the car. My back doesn't bother me nearly as much now!
The only weakness I can point out is that there ought to be a holding pin at the back of the arm rests, so they don't wobble. They tend to pull out of their rear sockets if the chair is lifted by its arm rests.

Stroke survivor, able to walk with a walker, but uses the chair to get around her home, as she has a fear of falling.
Transportable, does the job.
Light in weight, easy conversion by adding wheels, fits nicely in car trunk with other luggage.
Flimsy feeling, rattly on bumpy surfaces. Should be able to remove one set of transport wheels when big wheels installed. Worst weakness: not including folding footrests in carton, so I couldn't use the wheel chair until you had shipped me the footrests in separate package -- bad customer service.

It is wonderful.
1) Comfort for the end user 2) Compact and lightweight for storage 3) Ease of getting it in and out of the car and getting it ready
No weaknesses for the chair. Since I am using it for caregiver purposes, I want to get a bag/sack of some kind to hold my purse and other items to free my hands for pushing the chair.

We have 2 end users -- my sister and my uncle. The uncle has had a stroke and walks with a walker.
