IT'S MECHANICAL MOVEMENTS. IF YOUR SITTING AWHILE AND START TO GET A LITTLE STIFF CHANGE THE POSITION WITH A CLICK OF A BUTTON AND ,TO YOUR BODY, IT SEEMS LIKE YOU JUST RESAT IN THE CHAIR.

seat is too hard, I thought the comforter chair would be more comfortable. It's a very small chair for someone my height 5'8'. I just make it and weigh 150 lbs!

The chair is fantastic. I had some facial surgery and had to sleep on the chair for a week, and found it is more comfortable than my bed

Because it was so easy for her to get up and down (which was the hardest thing for her with all of her spinal pain) from/to a sitting position, she was able to be in the living room with all of us up until almost the very end, rather than in a hospital bed. She was able to work the controls herself most of the time, which allowed her to adjust the chair for maximum comfort. It was a godsend. My dad is now using it because it is so comfortable (and it reminds him of her). This has been a horrible time for us but one of the things that I learned is that little, everyday things can make a big difference and this chair was one of those things.

I am a 61 year old female who just had my 3rd hip surgery. I had the right total hip in 2000, the left total hip in October of 2010.

The infinite positions feature is wonderful. It's very comfortable to sit in without reclining. It looks more attractive than we were expecting.

The only problem is she has some trouble figuring out the controls. They could be easier to read, for one thing, with a better contrast in color, and maybe just an "up" and "down" arrow instead of the picture.

Even the standard fabric is soft & comfortable. Doesn't look "fake" or "cheap" at all, in my opinion. Chair is not huge or bulky, as some in my family had thought before they saw it. The motors & linkages underneath are well designed & maintenance free for the most part. None of the parts are stressed enough to require oiling or grease. Only maintenance would be keeping it clean .. and if you have no pets, that would probably be an annual thing. Both motors work in tandem, or individually, depending on the position. It's a great design. It certainly has made my grandmother extremely happy, & has taken a huge burden off her. She absolutely loves it!Made right here in the USA to boot! These days, that's a rarity. My family was nervous about buying this sight-unseen over the internet, but I still have confidence in our American work force, & this chair didn't let me down! Everyone was impressed. SpinLife's website made the decision easy for me, & they shipped it out at lightning speed! Great product, great seller!

What weaknesses?? Maybe it could uncrate itself upon arrival, & walk up the stairs on it's own? HA HA!
