Stroke survivor
Greatly relieves the sores that come from extended sitting
Well-built and affixes to the chair well.
The option of a disposable, replaceable, absorbent pad would help with occasional incontinence.

My daughter, Wendy, is 45 and suffers from CP. She is mentally active with several college degrees but is confined to a wheel chair.
Substandard, hard and painful; Best avoided
Strong profit producer for Sunrise Medical, especially considering the 15% restocking fee when required on return. (This is Sunrise's requirement, if you don't love it, you'll pay dearly for your mistake. So will your gluteals. This is by design.
The Jay Basic Pro's "three inch thickness" is measured from the top of the positioning horns to the cushion base. It's really only 1.5" thick where your rubber meets the road. The front horns and pillion require major liftover height when transferring onto the cushion otherwise you wind up sitting on those. Further to this, one and a half inches of foam is not that comfortable. Since your brand new cushion arrives 'pre-compressed,' it's not comfortable -- it's just a 1.5" piece of foam you're sitting on and it works out to be just as 'hard' as the naked seat of your wheelchair. I wasn't AT ALL impressed and sent it right back. Foam cushions compress by their very nature, even more so when there's less of this cushion than advertized. That being said it's best to leave this one at Sunrise's warehouse. If you're looking for **All**Day** comfort, stop messing around with foam every six months and go for a Roho. I wish I did. Guess where I'm headed now?

Wish it had listed that the velcro was the soft side.
Soft, comfortable, aided in good posture
Has the soft side of velcro, as does my wheelchair, so it moves around
