Arm rest panels are made of metal. Frame appears sturdy.
Brake levers pull up to set the brake, impeding placement of the transfer board. We don't set the brake on the side of the transfer. Front wheels do not rotate/steer easily. Main wheels are hard rubber. They do not have good traction. Combination of the two makes the wheelchair difficult to steer on smooth surfaces. It is also difficult to steer in general. We are not exceeding the weight limit either. Disappointing purchase!
