Outstanding features
Appearance, and durability
In my case, very difficult to push over a rug. Wife is in living room in hospital bed. Need padding along where feet and knees touch the lift. Hurts her.

It's a good product.
The Invacare patient lift is a life saver for those of us who need assistance getting out of bed.
Needs a two piece sling so that the back can be removed.

works better than I expected
I was able to pick my 210-lb mother up off the floor by myself and deposit her into a chair.
So far I see no weaknesses.

I bought the product as a back up or in event of a fall.
I compare it to the manual Hoyer lift which has a short hydraulic lift stroke (i.e., 1") and a poorly designed lock and release lever.) The Invacare has a reasonably long vertical lift stroke and an easy lock and release lever. The price is affordable too.

My 79 year old Mother-in-law. Totally disabled, not able to stand or walk.
Very easy to use and the cost can't be beat.
The price was the overriding decision to purchase this product, but after having it, we found it compared well to the high price of the electric models. It is very easy to use and we like the ability to take the unit apart for quick relocation in the car.
The only drawback was the high wheelbase, it is ok on hospital beds but some home beds will need a 1-2 inch block under the backward feet.
