I would recommend this to others but tell them to be very...

3.5 / 5
Strengths:

Clearly the most noticeable strength is the scooters ability to make very close turns, its stability, and in general its heavy construction. The front safety wheels are very helpful, I have several times when I have been reaching for something a bit far away, and felt the scooter starting to tilt. the small safety wheels allowed me enough time to adjust my weight and keep from turning over. I ordered the foam tires, now they are the "paid for" tires, a couple years you had to pay more for the pneumatic type-- then people learned what a pain it was to have a flat (not to mention expensive). The foam tires do not however make the ride particularly smooth. There is much I wish I had known about he scooter before I bought- but still it does work well as a kitchen, living room, and bathroom scooter.

Weaknesses:

This product was highly recommended by the agent I talked to, and that was what eventually sold me as spin life had always been a reliable source of information. However that was also a problem as she took very literally my description of what I wanted and this scooter has that. Be warned, that this a totally "in the house" scooter. It has almost no clearance, it will bump even going over a litlle threshold. Because the seat is actually further to the rear than the rear wheels, it requires large safety wheels in the rear. Because of those factors, the scooter is useless in the yard, the rear wheels keep it from allowing the rear tires to get traction and so even a small change in the level of the ground will leave you spinning, and calling for help. If what you want is a very maneuverable scooter in the house than this is a reasonable buy. But if you tend to use your scooter outdoors, or over uneven surfaces, look at a different scooter. I have been using a pride victory for the last couple years. It needs to go in the shop for some work, so I wanted another scooter to use while it was away. The fusion sounded like a good second scooter, and if you are very clear about when and where it is useful, than consider it. It is a nice scooter, but far from perfect, and I think over priced for what you get.
