| To qualify for Medicare payment of your scooter, you must be able to answer "Yes" to all four of these questions. Then your doctor will assess you in person and provide documentation supporting your need for a scooter. Don't worry... we'll help you through all of the requirements and paperwork. Covered by Medicare and require a scooter? Answer YES to the four questions below and you may qualify for a scooter at little to no cost to you.
Do you have a mobility limitation that significantly limits your ability to participate in one or more activities of daily living such as feeding, dressing, grooming and bathing safely and in a timely period?
Are you unable to use a cane, walker or manual wheelchair to safely complete your in-home activities?
Are you able to safely transfer to and from a scooter, operate the steering controls and sit upright while operating a scooter?
Are you able to safely operate a scooter inside your home?
